TNA's roster looks like it may be in for some shaking up in the coming months....
Biggest news....
This fall's Bound for Glory may mark the end of Sting's wrestling career.
Rumor has it that The Icon may be done after that PPV.
He originally planned to leave last year, but TNA officials talked him into giving one more year.
You gotta admit, the thirteen-time world champion, (two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, six-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion, two-time WCW International World Heavyweight Champion, two-time TNA World Heavyweight Champion and former WWA World Heavyweight Champion) has put in a long and colorful career since his debut in 1985.
And he has maintained his integrity over those 24 years, never working for the WWE.
The WWE has released Umaga.
Do I even need to say "I wonder if he'll show up on TNA in 90 days?"
I think Umaga would be a nice fit in TNA.
So far Raven and Shane Douglas have not signed long term contracts with TNA.
They are only in for Impact tapings and the Slammiversary PPV.
They might go forward from there, but it's not a lock.
Canadian Luchadora Sarah Stock (Dark Angel) has had her official TNA wrestling debut bumped back a bit because of Former WWE Diva Victoria (Tara) showing up.
Sarah was originally slated to fill the top TNA Knockout babyface position left open by Gail Kim, but with Tara showing up, that's been pulled for the moment.
Did TNA not know Victoria was signing?

TNA News: Victoria, Raven, Kurt Angle and More
Shane Douglas and Raven are both scheduled to be on this Thursday's TNA Impact.
Former WWE Diva Victoria is also scheduled to appear.
Look for Victoria to be a face. And I think she will be using her real name, Lisa Marie Varon.
UPDATE: Tara?
They're calling her Tara?
The show will also feature Dr. Stevie Richards, AJ Styles, Amazing Red, Eric Young, Beer Money, Chris Sabin, Consequences Creed, Angelina Love, Sojourner Bolt and Mick Foley.
TNA.com has a page of special appearances by their stars here:

See where “The Icon” Sting, Kurt Angle, Mick Foley, Angelina Love & Velvet Sky and Traci Brooks will be showing up in the coming months.
There is also a link on their homepage leading to the TNA YouTube videos.
AND there is also a countdown clock about mid screen that says " TNA Wrestling Delivers A Powerful Shot In:...."

TNA: Xbox Live, Zune and Danny Bonaduce
In the last entry I reported that TNA's wrestling library was now available on iTunes.
Now TNA has added another outlet, and the library will also be available in the Xbox Live Video Marketplace and Zune Marketplace.
"TNA fans can access a variety of TNA multimedia, including 13 TNA Home Video titles available immediately on the Xbox Live video marketplace, each retailing for 800 Microsoft points apiece. All 12 of TNA's 2008 pay-per-view events, including "Lockdown" and "Bound For Glory" are currently available exclusively on Xbox Live."
You can get more info on this at tnawrestling.com here:
http://www.tnawrestling.com/content/view/357/84/
TNA has canceled their March 20 house show in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico.
And while the WWE is dancing around with Mickey Rourke at Wrestlemania 25, TNA has scheduled a media star for their Lockdown pay-per-view on April 19.
Danny Bonaduce.
Yes that's right Danny Bonaduce.
Hey, the guy might not be as big a name as Mickey Rourke, but he's always entertaining.
And he can fight.

TNA Against All Odds PPV Tonight

Tonight's line up for the Against All Odds pay per view from Universal Studios in Orlando.
Brutus Magnus will be having an Open Challenge
Petey Williams will be facing Scott Steiner
Abyss will take on Matt Morgan
TNA Legends Champion Booker T will face Shane Sewell for the TNA Legends Championship.
TNA Knockouts Champion Awesome Kong will be taking on ODB for the TNA Women's Knockout Championship.
TNA X Division Champion Alex Shelley will be facing Eric Young for the TNA X Division Championship.
TNA World Tag Team Champions Beer Money, Inc. (Robert Roode and James Storm) will be wrestling Jay Lethal and Consequences Creed for the TNA World Tag Team Championship.
And the TNA World Heavyweight Champion Sting will face Kurt Angle and Brother Ray and Brother Devon in a four way match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.
Just from looking at this, the card seems less than stellar.
But hey, a lot of WWE's PPVs look bad on paper too.
The PPV will kick off at 8:00 p.m. EST tonight.

Former TNA Stars. part six

WWE SmackDown!'s "The Brian Kendrick" had a brief stint in TNA Wrestling in November 2004, when he defeated Kaz, Matt Sydal and Amazing Red, in a four-way match.

Indy wrestler Daizee Haze has had a couple of shots in TNA.
First in 2003, she made several appearances as a wrestler and valet to Matt Sydal.
When wrestling she faced Nurse Veronica (Simply Luscious), Trinity, and MsChif.
She returned to TNA on TNA Impact! in 2008 facing Cheerleader Melissa in a losing effort.

In 2004, Lucha Libre star Abismo Negro, along with Héctor Garza, Juventud Guerrera, Mr. Águila and Heavy Metal, came to TNA Wrestling as part of Team Mexico.

Hulk Hogan was actually supposed to be at Bound for Glory in 2003, he even did a press conference hyping the event and took a guitar shot from Jeff Jarrett.
But he pulled out saying that he had knee problems that would require surgery.

In 2004, another Lucha Libre star La Parka made a few brief appearances in TNA.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), Part 2

TNA began started airing TNA iMPACT! on June 4, 2004 on Fox Sports Net and kept the weekly PPV earnings as their main source of revenue.
The show got consistent low ratings and contract was not renewed one year later.
With no other earnings than the pay per views, TNA began streaming iMPACT! from their website and offering downloading through BitTorrent.
TNA struck a deal with Spike TV and aired it's first episode on October 1, 2005.
TNA started running house shows on March 17, 2006.
TNA announced a partnership with YouTube in April 2006, that saw TNA supply YouTube with exclusive video content.
On October 22, 2006 , TNA held their first monthly pay-per-view outside of the Impact! Zone, Bound for Glory. It was held at the Compuware Sports Arena in Plymouth Township, Michigan.
This was also the first pay-per-view to feature a half-hour "Road to" preview airing the night before.
The main event was NWA World Heavyweight Champion Jeff Jarrett wrestling Sting for the championship in a Title versus Career match with Kurt Angle as Special Outside Enforcer.

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), Part 1

Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) is an American pro wrestling promotion founded by Jeff Jarrett and his father Jerry Jarrett in May of 2002.
The current majority share owner (72%) is Panda Energy International (a privately-held company that constructs, maintains and operates environmentally friendly power plants). The company, which trades as TNA Entertainment, LLC, operates out of Nashville, Tennessee and also has an office in Orlando, Florida.
TNA was originally a member of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), with the company known as NWA-TNA, but TNA withdrew from them in 2004, in the process acquiring the rights to the NWA World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship and the NWA World Tag Team Wrestling Championship until 2014.
TNA is the first American wrestling promotion to exclusively use a hexagonal ring as opposed to the usual four-sided ring (the Mexican Asistencia Asesoría y Administración (AAA) promotion also frequently utilizes a six-sided ring). TNA also employs the unconventional rule that a title can change hands as the result of a disqualification, although this rule is only enforced occasionally. In addition, two separate entrance ramps are used for heels and faces.
When WWE purchased WCW, it became the largest pro wrestling company in the United States. This prompted Jerry Jarrett and his son Jeff to start a new wrestling company in May 2002 in conjunction with the NWA. In October 2002, Panda Energy International bought into the project, becoming the major shareholder.
The original TNA business model was different from that employed by the WWE in several ways. By not touring like other major federations have always done, TNA was able to keep costs down. Until the introduction of TNA Xplosion in late 2002, TNA's system of programming comprised of weekly cable pay-per-views. The first TNA PPV aired on June 19, 2002. The first PPV featured Toby Keith and NASCAR drivers Hermie Sadler and Sterling Marlin as guests.
While most major promotions have aired monthly PPVs, not having a weekly network, a syndicated, or cable show from the outset was very different.
The weekly TNA PPVs were not only priced at much less than the monthly WWE PPVs but also had low buyrates. The weekly events were also transmitted free, although with a six-month delay on The Wrestling Channel starting March 2004.
After 27 months, TNA ceased their weekly PPVs on September 8, 2004.
On November 7, 2004, TNA Wrestling held its first three-hour monthly PPV, TNA Victory Road 2004, but still achieved low buys.
